supporting steady, values-led leadership
Coaching & Supervision
I offer coaching for school leaders that focuses on lasting growth rather than quick fixes. My approach creates space for leaders to reflect deeply, build resilience, and develop their own leadership in a way that benefits not only themselves, but also their schools, children, staff, and communities.
Roger Billing
About me…

I have worked in education for over 25 years, including 13 years as a Headteacher, and hold both the NPQEL and a Masters in Teaching and Learning. Throughout my career, I have been driven by values of integrity, compassion, and a deep belief in the power of education to change lives. I am committed to supporting those who work in schools to thrive, not just professionally but personally too. Away from work, I’m a father to Amy and husband to Ali, who is a Deputy Head and SENDCO. I’m also a huge fan of cycling and love spending time on two wheels whenever I can.
Leaders in education
Coaching
Every school leader has their own version of the “3am problem” — that thought that wakes you in the night, playing on your mind. Coaching offers a space to pause, unpack what’s really going on, and move from worry to action. Together, we’ll identify what’s within your control, find clarity, and create realistic next steps — so those sleepless worries become challenges you’re confidently addressing in the light of day.

COACHING
Coaching is a supportive and developmental process that helps you reflect, set meaningful goals, and take action to grow both personally and professionally. It’s about unlocking your potential, building confidence, and finding solutions that work for you, so you can achieve lasting and positive change.
Supervision
Supervision offers a safe and structured space to think through challenges, explore difficulties, and reflect on your work and well-being. It focuses on helping you process experiences, maintain perspective, and strengthen your resilience — ensuring you feel supported while continuing to develop in your role.

Initial session
I offer a free 30-minute introductory session to give you the chance to find out if I’m the right coach or supervisor for you. This is a relaxed and informal conversation where you can ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and see how we might work together. There’s no obligation — it’s simply an opportunity to explore what feels right for you.

Supervision
Supervision provides a supportive and reflective space where you can step back from the day-to-day and make sense of the pressures, decisions, and emotions that come with leadership. It’s a space to explore what’s going well, what’s weighing heavily, and how to stay grounded. Through thoughtful questioning and guided reflection, supervision helps you gain clarity, process complex situations, and build the emotional resilience needed to sustain your impact — while also protecting your own well-being.
Bonnie Blair
"Winning doesn’t always mean being first. Winning means you’re doing better than you’ve done before."
This quote reflects the heart of what coaching offers: a space to focus on your own growth and progress, rather than comparing yourself to others. Through coaching, you can define what success means for you and take purposeful steps to achieve your personal best.
